We read A Tale of Two Cities in my English class.
I greatly dislke Lucie. And Darnay.
Carton's okay.
And then he went and did what he did.

Never read that one, actually - would you say it's worth the effort?

That's hard to say.
It is a bit tough to get through, just because he tends to start a whole bunch of plots without any real connection, but then he ends up bringing them all together, which is really neat. If you can manage to get through the first half or so, it gets better, and I did like it (even though the ending made me rather sad).

I saw a play of A Tale of Two Cities! My friend's older sister played Lucy. I was bawling my eyes out by the end, because of Carton.
And I totally agree with your character assesement. Sorry, friend's older sister. :P
I should read it, I think.

Hmm, that does sound interesting - I'll give it a go. Thanks for the recommendation!
